HALIFAX – Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a break-and-enter incident that occurred in Halifax earlier this year.
Nicco Alexander Smith, 24, was arrested on Tuesday at home on Churchill Court in Dartmouth.
He is charged with break and enter, possession of stolen goods under $5,000 and four breaches of court orders.
Police were called early in the morning on Jan. 1 after a man broke the front door of a home on Connor Lane in Halifax and fled with a stolen cellphone.
The resident of the home was not injured and police said it was not a random incident.
Smith is expected to appear in Halifax provincial court on Wednesday afternoon.
