HALIFAX – Police have a 39-year old man in custody after a series of events in Halifax on Tuesday morning.
Police say the first report of criminal activity came in around 3:30 a.m. when a man walked into the Needs Convenience store on Chebucto Road and allegedly attempted to rob the store.
The female clerk refused to give hand over any money, and police say the suspect left the store without incident.
Half an hour later police responded to a report of gas theft at the Esso on Dutch Village Rd. Officers found the suspect’s vehicle a short time later, and arrested the male driver.
No charges have yet been laid as the investigation is on going.
