According to Surrey Fire Battalion Chief Ed Wells, the house was in a relatively isolated area, so it may have been burning a while before firefighters were notified.
Wells says the unoccupied building is a “total loss.”
An investigation is underway but, according to Wells, there are no early indications of anything suspicious.
