LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – CP Rail’s “Holiday Train” is set to make an appearance in southern Alberta this weekend.
The freight train covered with thousands of Christmas lights will be rolling through Vulcan at approximately 2:45 Saturday afternoon before arriving in Lethbridge at around 6:45 p.m. along 2nd Avenue North and 12th Street.
The stop will feature a box car stage with several musical performances.
Local food banks will also be providing collection bins for spectators to drop off food donations.
Since beginning it’s annual journey the holiday train has collected over $5.6 million and 2.5 million pounds of food.
