Threats allegedly uttered against student on bus in northern Sask.

LA RONGE, Sask. – A youth from northern Saskatchewan is facing charges after allegedly uttering threats against another youth. It happened on a school bus Thursday afternoon in La Ronge.

According to the police report, the youth threatened another student with a weapon. The school bus driver was made aware of threat and went to speak with the youth, who then fled on foot.

La Ronge RCMP located the teen a short time later.

The youth, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing charges of possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and utter threats.

The youth remains in custody and will appear in La Ronge provincial court on Friday.
