As a kid you were probably told not to play with your food – well that rule is going out the window this week, for a good cause. At 7:15am we’ll tell you about the annual Feed Nova Scotia Canstruction event happening at Mic Mac Mall. The food drive will be a sight you don’t often see!

Are you tired of all this snow and ice? Our four-legged friends sure are. Some Halifax dog owners are having trouble getting out for a daily walk because of the ‘ruff’ conditions. Tristan Flynn from Jollytails will drop by at 7:45am with some suggestions on how to keep your canine friends occupied during these final frozen days of winter.

A picture says a thousand words, and every photo taken by the late George Ling tells a beautiful story.   At 8:15am we’ll tell you about George Ling + John Little, a  new exhibit at the Mary E. Black Gallery that  uses photography to showcase the friendship between a photographer and a blacksmith –  two artists who needed each other.

And at 8:45am we try to break through the winter blues with some rockabilly! Halifax-based musician Chris Martin will stop by to talk about a few cool upcoming gigs including a special show on board a Via Rail train to Montreal. Martin will also play us a tune to wrap up the show!.
