WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are cutting two players and announcing plans for their off-season mini-camp. Both defensive lineman Ameet Pall and receiver Jerrell Jackson were given their release.

Pall was signed by the Bombers in September after he was released by the Montreal Alouettes. The 27-year-old appeared on the Bombers 46-man roster for the final seven games of the regular season but registered just one tackle. Pall was originally drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round – 5th overall in the 2012 CFL draft.

Jackson was also cut loose after joining the Bombers late in the season. He dressed for their final regular season game in Calgary but failed to make a catch.

The moves create more room on the Bombers training camp roster with the club scheduling free agent camps in eight different U.S. cities over the next month and a half starting this weekend. The Bombers will also hold a three day mini-camp for their first year players and quarterbacks. It’s scheduled to take place in Bradenton, Florida at the IMG Academy from April 19-21.
