SASKATOON – A man had the vehicle he was driving seized for seven days after police clocked him doing double the speed limit on a Saskatoon street Thursday morning. The 22-year-old man is also facing a number of charges stemming from his heavy foot.
He was caught just after 10 a.m. when officers carrying out speed enforcement in the area of 14th Street and Leslie Avenue spotted him doing 100 km/h on 14th. The speed limit is 50 km/h.

The traffic stop led to the man being charged with of possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
He is also facing charges of operating an unregistered vehicle and misuse of plates along with the speeding ticket.
