WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers didn’t have to look far for their newest receiver. The football club signing Winnipeg product and former Rifles receiver Kurt Goodrich.
Goodrich attended the Bombers rookie camp in 2014 before returning to the Rifles for his 4th and final season. In 2014 Goodrich had 60 receptions for 924 yards with five touchdowns with the Rifles. Goodrich was named the Prairie Football Conference’s Most Outstanding Receiver the past 2 seasons and he was also the Rifles MVP in 2013.
He’s the 4th Canadian receiver the Bombers have under contract with Goodrich joining Rory Kohlert, Kristopher Bastien, and Julian Feoli-Gudino. Brett Carter is also expected to return to the Bombers next season.
