TORONTO — If you bear an uncanny resemblance to Al Capone or John Dillinger — and you have some acting ability — producers of a new fact-based TV series are looking for you.
Production of Natural Born Outlaws, a new series for Discovery’s American Heroes Channel, will take place this summer in Montreal.
The series will focus on historical crime figures like Capone, Dillinger and Bonnie & Clyde as well as the police who took them down.
Capone, one of America’s most famous gangsters, was imprisoned in Atlanta in 1932. He was paroled seven years later and died in his Florida home in 1947.
Dillinger was a gangster and bank robber who escaped from jail twice and was eventually shot to death by federal agents.
CMJ Productions will begin casting for Natural Born Outlaws soon.
Ten hour-long episodes will be shot in Montreal from June to September.
