Riders make a splash in free agency

REGINA – It’s been a busy Wednesday at Piffles Taylor Way with the Riders signing four more players to go along with Keenan MacDougall.

The team announced that they have signed International defensive end Alex Hall, National linebacker Joash Gesse, National offensive lineman Dan Clark and National fullback Scott McHenry.

Alex Hall is returning for his second tour of duty with the Riders after spending the 2014 season on the Carolina Panthers practice roster in the NFL.

In 2013, Hall finished second in the CFL with 16 quarterback sacks. He also added six tackles during the Riders 2013 playoff run.

Gesse joins the Riders after spending the last two season with the Eskimos. Through 51 games in his career the Montreal native has registered 40 special teams tackles.

Clark re-signed with the team for his fourth season in the CFL. The former Regina Thunder player started 10 games for the Riders last season, and also had one catch for a touchdown against BC.

Clark was a Grey Cup champion with the Riders in 2013.

Finally, McHenry re-signed with the Riders the Saskatoon native will be entering his fifth season with the Riders. In his career McHenry has recorded 30 catches for 269 yards and two touchdowns.
