Significant snowfall expected for Nova Scotia and P.E.I. on Friday

HALIFAX – Environment Canada says Nova Scotia and P.E.I. should prepare for significant snowfall on Friday.

Forecasters have issued a special weather statement for the two provinces, but they don’t say how much snow is expected to fall.

They say a low-pressure system is expected to bring heavy weather to the U.S. East Coast before moving into the Maritimes on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, people in northern New Brunswickers are being warned to prepare for extremely cold temperatures overnight and on Wednesday.
