Two men injured in violent southeast home invasion

CALGARY – Two men were injured in a violent home invasion in the community of Forest Lawn on Friday.

Witnesses called police to a duplex in the 1800 block of 40th Street S.E. just after 2:15 a.m. after spotting the intruders.

However, when officers arrived they found both the suspects and the victims had left the scene.

About an hour later, one man showed up at the Foothills Medical Centre suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

Investigators are in the process of piecing together what happened, but believe as many as four people were in the southeast home at the time of the home invasion. They say two men wearing masks forced their way into the home, but aren’t yet sure what the motive was for the attack.
