EDMONTON — Two people are dead following a serious multi-vehicle collision west of Leduc Saturday night.
Emergency crews from Thorsby, Breton and Calmar were called to the three-vehicle collision around 8 p.m. It happened on Highway 39 near Range Road 274, about five kilometres west of Calmar.
RCMP say a pick-up truck and two cars were involved in the collision. Two people from one vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names are not being released.
The highway was closed for several hours Saturday night. RCMP do not believe road conditions were a factor in the collision.
