MONTREAL- It was a long wait for travelers heading to the Northeastern United States Monday, as dozens of flights were cancelled out of Trudeau International Airport in Dorval.
Of 80 planned flights to Boston and New York on Monday, 52 were cancelled.
For Tuesday, airport officials say they expect to drop 73 out of 85 scheduled flights, in or out of Boston and New York.
With 90 centimetres of snow expected by the time the storm ends Tuesday afternoon, travelers are being advised to check with their airline, or the airport website, before heading to the airport.
Even those who follow that advice should expect surprises.
” We were told that we would get on our flight by our airline,” New Jersey couple Tuli and Leah Keline told Global News.
“It kept getting delayed, and delayed, and delayed and now we’re told we can’t leave for 2 days.”
