WEST KELOWNA – Police are searching for the person who stabbed the owner of West Kelowna business during a robbery.
On Sunday afternoon, a man wearing a mask entered Sidney’s Swap & Shop, asked for change for a $5 bill, then demanded money.
Despite getting some cash, the robber stabbed the 62-year-old shop owner with a knife. He fled on a bicycle. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
The suspect is described as:
· Caucasian male
· 30-35 years
· 5 ft 9 in (175 cm)
· 154 lbs (70 kg)
· Slim build
· Last seen wearing a green hooded jacket
RCMP say store staff believe he is a homeless man living in the area.
