It’s believed speed was a factor in a car crash in Abbotsford that hurt six people.
It happened last night around 7:30 at South Fraser Way and Emerson Street.
Sgt. Jeremy Lane with Abbotsford police told Global News two vehicles were involved and one flipped onto its side and into the Pier One store at the intersection.
There were five people in one vehicle, and one person in the other.
“They were very lucky,” says Lane. “We believe speed was definitely a contributing factor, coupled with a driver trying to run a yellow light.”
No one was seriously injured, but there is significant damage to both vehicles.
Police are investigating.
