Police hope to speak with woman who intervened sexual assault

TORONTO- Police hope to speak with a woman who stepped in and interved a sexual assault Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a 19-year-old woman was walking in the Lakeshore Blvd. W. and Islington Ave. area afternoon when a man approached her from behind.

The suspect allegedly grabbed the woman and took her to a secluded area, where he pulled out a knife and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a man with an olive complexion, 5’9″ to 5’10″, with a stocky or chubby build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and dark blue jeans.
