KELOWNA – A man has been charged for the act of a bully that was allegedly criminal in nature.
Last April, a 56-year-old woman was sitting at a bus stop on Rutland Road when a man with a large dog approached.
The dog jumped on the woman’s lap, frightening her. Police say the man accused her of kicking his dog, spit in her face, and pushed her to the ground.
Witnesses called police and provided first-aid until an ambulance arrived and took the victim to hospital.
RCMP later released a security camera photograph of the suspect.
Trevor Tyson Weir, 35, of Kelowna is charged with assault.
His trial is set for April 30th, one year to the day after the incident.
