TORONTO – A Toronto man has been charged following an investigation into an alleged historical sexual assault.
Police say it’s alleged that a 17-year-old girl met a man in a park in October 2013 and went back to his apartment with him (in the area of Lansdowne Avenue and Dupont Street).
It’s alleged the girl fell asleep after being given an unspecified amount of the narcotic Ketamine and that while she slept she was sexually assaulted.
Police say a suspect was arrested on Monday.
Travis George Furge, 37, is charged with sexual assault.
Police say they believe there may be other victims and they are urging anyone with information to contact investigators.
