REGINA – The children are all fine, but the extent of one man’s injuries is unknown after a collision between a school bus and a car just east of Regina.
It happened on Highway 1 near Tower Road at about 3 p.m. Friday.
The bus was making a left turn onto Tower Road when it was hit by the car travelling eastbound.
The driver of the car was transported to hospital.
About two dozen kids, ages 10-11, were on the bus coming back to the city from a ski trip.
Cpl. Dean Onyskevitch spoke with Global News on scene.
“They were all pretty calm,” he said. “I had spoken to them briefly on the bus prior to them moving onto the new one and they seemed okay with the matter.”
Both lanes of traffic have reopened.
RCMP would like to remind drivers to take all necessary precautions when travelling in winter conditions.
