NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – A manhunt is underway for a man who pointed a gun at Mounties during a high speed chase in Saskatchewan on Wednesday. This is the second time in less than a week a gun has been aimed at police in the province, although this time no shots were fired.

Mounties attempted to stop a Dodge Charger just after 3 p.m. after receiving multiple calls of an erratic driver. The driver fled at a high rate of speed and was seen with a firearm by both police and witnesses.

He then pointed the firearm at two officers. Police say they immediately called off the chase due to the time of day and concern for pedestrian safety.
