Stan Lee returns to the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo

CALGARY – Comic book writer and former Marvel Comics president Stan Lee will once again visit Calgary as a guest at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo.

“Stan is a giant in the comic book industry and one of our most requested guests,” said Calgary Expo spokesperson Emily Expo in a news release. “It felt right to bring him back for our 10th anniversary.”

Lee, a co-creator of Spiderman, had previously attended the event in 2012.

Lee joins other previously announced guests like Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Kristy Swanson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Luke Perry (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Kristin Bauer Van Straten (True Blood), Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) and Lana Parilla (Once Upon A Time).

Last year, the show welcomed over 97,000 attendees over four days, making it the second largest pop culture convention in Canada behind Fan Expo Canada in Toronto.

The event will be held at the BMO Centre from April 16th to 19th.
