This just in: Police in China have arrested Spider-Man on robbery charges!
Alright, so the alleged thief in question isn’t Peter Parker, who as far as we know still has a clean reputation (this isn’t the Daily Bugle, after all).
But a man clad all in black drew plenty of attention in southwest China’s Guizhou Province after he was spotted scaling the wall of a residential building Sunday night.
The man was spotted by residents clinging to the metal window brackets on the outside wall of an apartment building.
“We were about to sleep when we heard someone calling ‘stop thief.’ Then we came downstairs to see what happened,” a resident told the CCTV news agency in China.
Police eventually talked “Spidey” down from his perch, where he was arrested by police on robbery charges.
The man, 20, is suspected of working with an accomplice or accomplices to steal items from inside the building. Police in China are continuing their investigation.
