A special weather alert is in effect for the Okanagan warning a winter storm is on its way. Environment Canada is forecasting 25 cm or more could blanket the Okanagan Connector on Sunday.
“A winter storm approaching the coast will bring significant snow to the coastal passes beginning early Sunday morning and into the interior passes later in the day,” according to Environment Canada. “The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.”
A special weather statement is also in effect for the north and south Okanagan, with winter conditions expected to hit the entire valley.
