A 20-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries following a stabbing at a home on Vancouver’s west side this morning.
At about 5:30 a.m., police responded to a stabbing at a home on West 20th Avenue near MacDonald Street. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old man who had been stabbed.
The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and is in serious but stable condition.
According to neighbours this is not the first time police have been called to the house.
The area between 19th and 21st Avenues on MacDonald Street was blocked off as the Major Crime Section and Forensics Unit investigated the crime scene. Police believe the stabbing may have happened on MacDonald Street near West 20th Avenue and was possibly connected to a gathering at the house.
It is currently unclear what the motive was for the stabbing and no arrests have been made in the case.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to all Vancouver police.
