$50K reward offered for information on Lorraine Roach, missing since 2013

WATCH: The OPP are now offering a cash reward for any information leading to an arrest in the case of missing Ontario woman Lorraine Roach. Carey Marsden reports.

TORONTO – The Ontario government has stepped up to offer a $50,000 reward for information that could lead to an arrest in the case of missing Peterborough, Ont. woman Lorraine Roach.

Roach, 58 at the time, was last seen May 11, 2013 leaving her home in the afternoon.

Jennifer DeBernardi, Roach’s daughter, made an emotional plea for the public’s help during a press conference Tuesday morning in Peterborough.

“Please just call somebody,” said DeBernardi. “We need some closure and it’s very hard for us to deal with this every day.”

Ontario Provincial police say Roach’s husband didn’t report his wife missing until three days after her disappearance.

Her Pontiac Montana minivan was later found at the side of Lily Lake Road, west of Peterborough.

Earlier this summer, OPP conducted a search behind the Roach’s family home but came up with nothing.

Security images released by police show Roach had attended a movie theatre alone on the evening before she went missing.

Police say the $50,000 reward is the next step in the investigation.

“Perhaps a reward offered, will bring that information forward,” said OPP Sgt. Peter Leon. “Each and every time we reach out to the public, they step forward.”

Roach’s son Andrew Cocks, who was also in attendance at the press conference, urged the public to help his family solve this case.

“It’s been a grueling year and a half. No matter how silly this information could be, the police will look at your information seriously,” said Cocks. “Do bring forward information.”
