MONTREAL — A seven-year-old girl has died following a snowmobile accident on Sunday in northern Quebec.
The incident took place in Clova, Que., a village in a remote region of the province about 500 kilometres north of Montreal.
According to Quebec provincial police, the girl was a passenger on the snowmobile, which flipped over and crushed her.
She was transported to a hospital in Parent, about 100 kilometres away, and then later to a hospital in La Tuque, where she died of her injuries.
The Sûreté du Québec are investigating the incident, and have sent a reconstruction team to the village in order to determine exactly what happened.
