Vancouver police arrest four men after Christmas Day crime spree

Four men are in custody after back-to-back Christmas Day robberies in Vancouver.

The first incident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the Hot Delivery Restaurant located at 3002 Cambie Street. Two men brandishing weapons entered the restaurant and ordered everyone to the floor.

One man was struck in the head and a woman suffered a cut to the hand after two suspects ransacked the restaurant searching for valuables.

The men fled in a waiting car.

The second incident happened shortly before 8 p.m. at the Truong Thanh Vietnamese Restaurant located at 2096 Kingsway Avenue. Two men armed with weapons burst through the door demanding everyone’s valuables. Again, the suspects fled to a waiting getaway car parked outside.

Around 8:30 p.m., officers spotted the getaway car in the area of E. Broadway and Boundary Rd. The car was followed to Willingdon Avenue near the Hwy. 1 interchange where it was blocked in by police vehicles.

The four suspects arrested range in age from 17 to 34 years old.

They will be facing various robbery and weapons related charges.
