Christmas tree recycling starts Saturday

Tree Recycling depots open on Dec. 27 and stay open until Jan. 20.

WINNIPEG — The city wants you to consider recycling your real Christmas tree instead of throwing it out.

Winnipeg’s 11 Chip In recycling depots open on December 27th and will close on January 20th.

Trees must have all the decorations removed and not be in a bag.

Early in 2015 free wood chips made from the trees will be available.
