REVELSTOKE – Revelstoke RCMP are seeking public assistance in finding two stolen snowmobiles and the trailer carrying them.
Police were called at about 2:15 Friday morning to a commercial enterprise on the TransCanada highway west of the city.
The two sleds are Arctic Cat M1100 Turbos. One is black the other is white.
RCMP say the value of the machines and the trailer, registered in Alberta, is over $50,000.
Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky advises sled owners to deter thieves by using padlocks and chains, tracking devices and hitch coupler locks.
He also suggests tow vehicles be disabled when parked overnight.
Owners should also register their snowmobiles and have photographs to assist in their recovery.
