EDMONTON – Alberta Health Services and the Health Sciences Association of Alberta have reached a new collective agreement.
The three-year-deal is retroactive to April 1 and includes pay hikes of one, 1.25 and two per cent in each year, along with a lump sum payment of $1,000 in the first and second years.
AHS president and CEO Vickie Kaminski says the government agency is pleased to have reached a deal. She says the contract is fair.
The contract covers 19,130 paramedical technical and professional employees working in pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and rehabilitation services (physical, occupational, recreational therapists), social work, and emergency medical services.
Alberta Health Services is responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in the province.
