Officers have spoken to witnesses and will be looking for any surveillance footage from the area this afternoon.

Inspector Les Yeo with VPD says they have a good description of the vehicle and the driver, but for investigative reasons, that information will not be disclosed at this time.

“To the driver of the vehicle that struck this woman,” says Yeo. “It is only a matter of time before our investigators gather enough evidence needed to identify you. I can’t stress enough that regardless of your reason for leaving the scene of this collision, now is the time for you to do the right thing and turn yourself in.”
