SALMON ARM — Two Calgary residents are dead following a head-on collision between a semi and a Honda Civic near Salmon Arm.
RCMP say the collision happened shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday on the Trans Canada Highway east of Salmon Arm.
They say the eastbound Honda was entering a curve when the driver lost control and crossed over the centre line into the path of the westbound semi.
The 18 year old driver of the Honda and the 19 year old passenger died at the scene. Their names have not been released.
Police say road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the collision.
The driver of the semi was slightly injured.
