KELOWNA — A heater is being blamed for causing a house fire on Finns Road in Kelowna — of Highway 97 near Scandia Golf and Games.
The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Thick black smoke was coming from the residence when fire fighters arrived.
The place was destroyed but the single occupant managed to get out safely. There were no pets.
Investigators have determined that a malfunctioning butane heater in the home was the cause of the fire.
