REGINA – Regina police are hoping that tips from the public can help them track down two men suspected of robbing an east-end jewelry store.

Police were called to Victoria Jewellers on Quance St. at approximately 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Initial investigation suggests that two men entered through the front doors, smashed the glass on six display cases, and made of with merchandise valued at tens of thousands of dollars.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

The first suspect is described as a male wearing blue jeans, a black sweater with a green and yellow logo (possibly a skull), a grey hoodie under the sweater, a black hat, dark gloves, and black shoes with a white sole. He was carrying a tan duffel bag.

The second suspect is described as a male wearing black pants, a black sweater with light coloured sleeves and a hood, a black hat, red gloves, and dark coloured shoes. He was carrying a black and white duffel bag.

Both men had their faces covered.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police are also reminding the public that an offer to buy jewelry at greatly reduced prices in a location other than a business could be a indication that the merchandise is stolen.
