UPDATE: German Shepherd’s puppies found alive after SPCA search

SASKATOON – The Saskatoon SPCA needs your help. It is asking for public assistance Wednesday in locating offspring belonging to a mother dog that was brought in to the animal shelter.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

A Good Samaritan brought in a female German Shepherd who was dragging a heavy length of chain and a long stake. It was found on the corner of Idylwyld Drive and 33rd Street.

The society says the dog is clearly nursing puppies.

Without their mother, any little canines would have little chance of survival within the next few hours without their mother.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the SPCA at 306-374-7387.
