WATCH: The movement to raise money for men’s health ends on December 1. And as Jeremy Hunka reports, donations for growing a moustache were way down this year.
Curtis Giddings spent every day this month in a display case wearing nothing but his underwear.
He also raised over $20,000 to fight prostate cancer.
“It’s been amazing, it’s been overwhelming. Everybody’s welcomed this with open arms and hopefully had a good laugh,” he said from inside his display case at the Boardroom Snowboard Shop on West 4th Avenue in Vancouver.
Giddings took part in a promotional effort from Saxx Underwear, who are donating $2 from every pair of underwear sold in the shop to Movember, a men’s health campaign that takes place each November.
What makes the Movember movement so successful?
Like everyone else who takes part in Movember, Giddings has been growing his mustache, giving people who pass him by on the street even more to stare at.
While Canada has raised over $18 million dollars in this year’s incarnation of Movember, it’s down sharply from 2013, when $33.9 million was raised.
