HALIFAX – Police tell Global News the pedestrian-vehicle collision reported in downtown Dartmouth is “likely unfounded”.
Sgt. Rob Lowther of the Halifax Regional Police had said around 4 a.m. on Wednesday that the incident occurred on Maitland Street, which is off Portland Street.
Police had said the vehicle fled the scene and the pedestrian faced minor injuries.
However, shortly before 6 a.m. on Wednesday, police said there was not evidence enough to support the report of a pedestrian-vehicle collision and it is likely the incident did not occur.
