TORONTO — A Canadian man who was reported missing in Australia walked into a police station in Bundaberg on Monday.
Police in Australia had earlier appealed for information from the public about the whereabouts of Gatlin Graham of Sudbury, Ont.
Queensland Police Service (QPS) said Graham was last seen leaving East Brisbane on Oct. 29 with a plan to drive more than 1,700 km to Cairns.
Police said he had no contact with friends or family since Nov. 8.
Graham found out via social media that a search was underway and went to a police station to explain he had been camping and couldn’t contact his family because he had problems with his mobile phone.
“Media are thanked for their cooperation and assistance with this matter,” read a statement from the QPS.
Graham’s last post on his Facebook page was an Oct. 28 photo showing him lying on the ground surrounded by kangaroos.
