MOOSE JAW, Sask. – One woman is facing charges after a poppy donation box was allegedly stolen from a restaurant in the Friendly City.
Police were called to the Landscape Restaurant on 4th Ave SW in Moose Jaw November 12, where it was reported that a woman allegedly went into the establishment, grabbed a tray containing poppies, and ran out the door.
Police were able to arrest the woman a short time later and charge her with theft.
The poppy tray and the $40.78 stolen were returned to the restaurant.
The woman is being held in custody until her court date on November 20th.
