Vancouver police are asking the public for help in solving a Halloween attack that sent a teenager to hospital.

A 16-year-old male suffered multiple injuries sometime after leaving a house party near East 60th Ave. and Inverness St. at 11 p.m. on Oct. 31.

He wasn’t seen again until 6 a.m. the next morning, when he knocked on the door of a nearby house, bleeding, shirtless and shoeless. His cell phone, jewelry and wallet were missing.

The victim was sent to hospital where he was diagnosed with a possible stab wound to the chest and a collapsed lung. The victim is described as South Asian with short black hair and a moustache and was wearing a black toque and a silver chain around his neck.

“There are pieces to this puzzle that are still missing,” says VPD spokesperson Sgt. Randy Fincham. “Someone out there knows what happened to this young man between the hours of 11 p.m. on October 31st and 6 a.m. on November 1st.”
