BURNT CHURCH, N.B. – Four New Brunswick men have been reported missing after failing to return home from working in the woods.
The RCMP have identified the men as 21-year-old Cody Mitchell, 26-year-old Lee Mitchell, 38-year-old Adrian Joe and 42-year-old Lloyd Augustine.
The four men are from Burnt Church and police say they are experienced woodsmen.
Police say the men left Sunday to gather tips from fir trees to make Christmas wreaths as they’ve done in previous years.
Investigators say the men are known to do this work in the Christmas Mountains, Heath Steele Mines, Big Bald Mountain, Mullin Stream and Fraser Burchill areas of northern New Brunswick.
Police say the men were last seen driving a maroon-coloured, 2005 Chevrolet truck.
The RCMP had initially said three men were missing but later said they received information that a fourth man was in the group.
