REGINA – Moose Jaw police were called to two separate homes Wednesday morning for break and enters in progress.
The first call came from a residence in the 400 block of Fairford Street W. Police were informed of an assault, but the suspect fled on foot.
A short time later, police were called to a second residence in the same area for a report that the same suspect had returned, broke into a neighbouring home, and assaulted the homeowner with a shovel. The male fled the area again but was arrested by police several blocks away.
The victim was treated in hospital for head injuries and was later released.
The accused is facing a slew of charges including Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Assault with a Weapon.
