A unique protest has been staged over the imminent closure of a public health youth clinic.

Protesters dressed as zombies to try to bring the Pine Clinic on 4th Avenue and Maple Street back from the dead.

It’s set to shut its doors on Friday, Oct. 31st, which coincides with Halloween.

The dedicated youth medical clinic was open six days a week.

MLA for Vancouver-Point Grey David Eby says it is the last-ditch effort to save the clinic.

“The Pine Clinic has been around for 41 years,” he says. “We believe dedicated youth only clinic is an incredibly important service.”

Eby says he has been frustrated by the lack of communication about the closure.
