SASKATOON – A woman accused of harassing a Saskatoon man and his friends by sending them threatening letters has been denied bail after allegedly breaching her release conditions on two separate occasions.

Amanda May Totchek faces more than 50 charges including harassment, fraud and uttering threats.

Totchek has been in custody since June 12.

The details of the case, the arguments made by lawyers and the judge’s reasons to deny bail are under a publication ban.

On the first day of Totchek’s two-day bail hearing, the 28-year-old cried in the prisoner’s box and stared at her family the entire time.

She will be back in court on Monday.
