WATCH: Workers dismantling the old Port Mann bridge were surprised to find three orphaned baby owls in a piece of the bridge. Jen Palma has the story.
Three barn owls are getting a second chance after they were found in a piece of the old Port Mann Bridge, which is being dismantled.
A construction worker spotted the trio, and left them alone for 24 hours hoping that their owl parents would return. Unfortunately, they didn’t.

The trio was taken to the Wildlife Rescue Association in Burnaby, and then transported to the O.W.L. Orphan Wildlife Rehabilitation Society in Delta the following day.
They are now staying with a new “foster mother.” The wildlife society says that the owls are a few weeks old and are a bit of an anomaly as breeding season ended a while ago.
