Man arrested after Saskatoon taxi driver robbed

SASKATOON – A man is facing multiple charges after a cabbie was robbed near the Wildwood golf course Tuesday morning.

The robbery happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 200-block of Tait Crescent after the taxi driver was threatened by a man with a knife.

The suspect took off with cash and personal property.

A canine unit tracked down the suspect and the goods were recovered.

The unnamed man is charged with armed robbery, two counts of uttering threats to cause death and mischief.

He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
