Saskatoon police look into 4 overnight stabbings

SASKATOON – Members of the Saskatoon Police Service were busy overnight with four stabbing which occurred overnight Friday.

The first occurred at 12:30 a.m. in the 2100-block of 22nd Street East.  Police say a physical altercation involving several people occurred outside a licensed establishment.

A 34-year-old man says he approached the group and was stabbed.  His injuries were non-life threatening and he drove himself to hospital.

At around 2:15 a.m., a 39-year-old woman was reportedly stabbed by a 41-year-old woman at an apartment in the 1700-block of 20th Street West.  The victim received a non-life threatening injury.

Police say the female suspect was known to the 39-year-old victim.

A male, who was at the apartment, ran after the female suspect as she fled.

The 41-year-old woman was then assaulted and stabbed while in the apartment parking lot.  She walked to St. Paul’s Hospital for treatment of life-threatening stab wounds.

The male suspect fled the scene and is currently being sought by police.

Then around 5 a.m., a 27-year-old man at St. Paul’s Hospital said he was near the 200-block of Pendygrasse Road when he was assaulted. He suffered a non life-threatening stab wound.

The investigations are ongoing.
