WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have cut CFL touchdown leader Nic Grigsby after he asked the team to release him.

Grigsby did not play in Monday’s 41-9 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos. The Bombers decided to bench the running back and replace him with Paris Cotton in hopes of sparking more offence. Grigsby averaged just 40 yards per game his last three outings.
